Topography

Topographically, the experience is enhanced by the strongly undulating terrain and the steep-sided valley, which allows for a truly unique route. In places, the walkway is above the treetops. In other places it opens up views of the landscape over the tops of the lower trees.

Simplicity

Visitors are given the feeling they are floating above the forest floor. Light, effortless and barrier-free throughout, the Treetop Walkway Neckertal is a wonderful experience for all.

Perspectives

Delightful views and impressions. Trees, plants, birds and insects are viewed from an unfamiliar angle and accompanied by additional information, which enhances the experience.

Filigree

Due to the special statics, the focus was on a filigree construction. The Treetop Walkway is a curved post-and-beam timber construction. The impact of the construction work was kept to a minimum. Both the entrance and exit of the walkway are located in the immediate vicinity of the existing log cabin.

Envionmentally friendly

The elements are predominantly made of timber. Extra steel supports had to be added to the steep sections for structural reasons. The anchoring in the ground is done with Krinner screw foundations and individual concrete foundations.

High

Standing at an impressive height, the walkway is an invitation to explore. All in all, it blends into the landscape perfectly. The visitor is led to discover areas they would ordinarily hardly notice.
