The Walkway
The walk through the middle of the forest at such an unexpected height is a truly wonderful and enriching experience. The Treetop Walkway Neckertal is a future-oriented example of environmentally-friendly construction and the coexistence of humans with nature.
The Treetop Walkway is 500 metres long, 2 to 4 metres wide and between 4 and 15 metres high. The viewing platform is 55 metres high. The walk takes between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on personal interest.
The raised walkway is barrier-free - prams, buggies and all kinds of wheelchairs are welcome. A wheelchair lift (max. load 300 kg) is available at the entrance. Dogs are not allowed up on the raised walkway.
Activity Stations
There's a lot to learn about the forest and nature at more than 30 different learning and activity stations. Not only can you read, but also turn, taste, hear and feel - gathering educational information is more fun this way and time just flies.
Some of the activity stations are up on the raised walkway, the rest are down on the forest adventure trail, which is 650 metres long. The walk takes between 30 and 60 minutes.
Play Area
Swing through the air on the little zip-wire, watch balls whizzing down the giant ball run or test your balance on the balancing elements. There's something for young and old alike.
The play area is in the forest itself, so therefore in the shade - a pleasant place to be even when it's hot. There's plenty of space for mums, dads and grandparents to sit and chat on the benches surrounding the play area.
